Job summary

Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN is seeking a Senior AI/ML Engineer - Validation & Evaluation within AI Validation & Monitoring (AVM). You will lead validation pathways, translate requirements into practical methods, and guide HCI, usability, clinical workflow validations.

You will mentor AVM engineers, develop playbooks, and coordinate with enterprise partners while advancing AI governance in a leading healthcare setting.

Qualifications

Master’s or PhD preferred; 4+ years with Master’s or 6+ years with Bachelor’s in relevant field.
Extensive experience applying AI/ML in production healthcare environments or similarly regulated tech settings.
Demonstrated leadership in managing complex projects and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

Lead validation pathways and applied evaluation for AI products in healthcare.
Translate enterprise requirements into practical validation methods and guidance.
Coach AVM engineers and ensure quality and consistency of review conclusions and revalidation guidance.
Develop and maintain validation-pathway playbooks and rubrics.
Coordinate with enterprise partners and clinical product teams as needed.
