Job summary

Cypress HCM in Bellevue, WA is seeking senior software engineers to own the end-to-end development of LLM-powered systems. You will design and deploy RAG-powered features and integrate LLM services into our products and data ecosystem, while driving architectural decisions and maintaining high quality.

We value hands-on experience with agent frameworks, prompt engineering, and cloud deployments. This role offers a hybrid in-office schedule (3 days/week) and strong growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 9+ years of software engineering experience.
• Experience owning end-to-end systems including APIs and deployments.
• Hands-on building LLM-powered features in production.
• Experience with RAG architectures and vector databases.
• Strong prompt engineering and quality evaluation skills.
• Familiarity with ML concepts and judging when traditional ML wins.
• Experience with agent frameworks and tool-use patterns.
• Cloud experience, preferably AWS (EC2, S3, Bedrock).
• Self-starter, organized, works independently, collaborative with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Own full software development lifecycle of LLM-powered systems from requirements to production deployment.
• Design and implement retrieval-augmented generation and multi-step reasoning workflows.
• Integrate LLM services into products, tools, and data ecosystem.
• Drive architectural decisions balancing capability, cost, latency, and maintainability.
• Establish evaluation frameworks and metrics for quality and impact.
• Define product capabilities with stakeholders and build new features.
• Champion coding quality, testing, and best practices across the team.
• Mentor engineers on LLM applications and patterns.
