Siemens EDA is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to drive simulation technology and lead AI/ML initiatives. You will architect and develop cutting-edge algorithms powering industry-leading tools, taking ideas from concept to delivery while collaborating with experienced engineers.

In this role, you’ll apply agentic AI frameworks, RAG, and vector databases to build scalable platforms and autonomous agents, shaping the future of electronic design automation.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of proven industry software engineering with at least 1 year in AI/ML focused development.
• Proven ability architecting and delivering enterprise-scale AI/ML solutions from concept to production.
• Strong proficiency in Python and hands-on experience with AI/ML frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or Scikit-learn.
• Deep knowledge of LLM-based systems, Agentic AI frameworks, RAG architectures, and vector databases.
• Practical experience developing AI agents or copilots that interface with tools or external APIs.
• Solid understanding of agentic design patterns and strong foundations in algorithms, data structures, and API design.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement AI/ML and Agentic AI solutions in design and verification tools, establishing architecture patterns and best practices for enterprise-scale deployments
• Build scalable AI platforms leveraging LLMs, Agentic Frameworks, MCP, LangGraph, vector databases, and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) technologies
• Develop intelligent agents capable of tool usage, workflow automation, reasoning, planning, and autonomous task execution
• Evaluate and select AI technologies, models, frameworks, and infrastructure to meet product and business objectives
• Architect end-to-end AI systems including data pipelines, model serving, observability, memory management, and deployment strategies
• Collaborate with engineering leaders, product management, and domain experts to transform ideas into production-grade solutions
