Job summary

Siemens EDA is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for the QuestaSim (Simulation) R&D team to architect and develop AI-driven simulation tools. You will tackle cutting-edge algorithms and lead initiatives from conception to delivery in a fast-paced environment.

You will collaborate with engineering leaders and domain experts, applying Python, AI/ML frameworks, and agentic AI techniques to production-scale solutions in a global, ITAR/EAR governed setting.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of proven industry software engineering with at least 1 year in AI/ML focused development.
• Demonstrated expertise architecting and delivering enterprise-scale AI/ML solutions from concept to production.
• Strong proficiency in Python and hands-on experience with AI/ML frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or Scikit-learn.
• Deep knowledge of LLM-based systems, Agentic AI frameworks, RAG architectures, and vector databases.
• Practical experience developing AI agents or copilots that interface with tools or external APIs.
• Solid understanding of agentic design patterns and strong foundations in algorithms, data structures, and API design.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement AI/ML and Agentic AI solutions in design and verification tools, establishing architecture patterns and best practices for enterprise-scale deployments
• Build scalable AI platforms leveraging LLMs, Agentic Frameworks, MCP, LangGraph, vector databases, and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) technologies
• Develop intelligent agents capable of tool usage, workflow automation, reasoning, planning, and autonomous task execution
• Evaluate and select AI technologies, models, frameworks, and infrastructure to meet product and business objectives
• Architect end-to-end AI systems including data pipelines, model serving, observability, memory management, and deployment strategies
• Collaborate with engineering leaders, product management, and domain experts to transform ideas into production-grade solutions

Position Overview

Join the QuestaSim (Simulation) R&D team at Siemens EDA as a Senior Software Engineer and drive innovation in simulation technology. Key Responsibilities

Qualifications

Required:

• Strong proficiency in Python and hands-on experience with AI/ML frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or Scikit-learn
• Deep knowledge of LLM-based systems, Agentic AI frameworks, RAG architectures, and vector databases
• Practical experience developing AI agents or copilots that interface with tools or external APIs
• Solid understanding of agentic design patterns and strong foundations in algorithms, data structures, and API design

Preferred:

• Experience with code understanding systems, AST analysis, or developer productivity tools
• Proficiency in C/C++
• Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and CI/CD practices
• Background in Digital Design, SystemVerilog, or EDA tools
• Knowledge of compilers, parallelism, or GPU profiling tools

This position will be subject to U.S. export control requirements under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). Employment is contingent on either verifying the U.S. Person status or obtaining any necessary export license.
