Job summary

Cohesity is seeking a highly motivated attorney to join its in-house Legal team. You will be the lead IP attorney for AI/ML issues, reporting to the VP of IP&P, and collaborating with product, OSS, privacy, and patent teams.

The role focuses on AI/ML regulatory trends, contract provisions, and risk mitigation, while guiding engineering and business teams in deploying AI/ML models and tools.

Qualifications

• Substantive AI/ML technical and legal expertise.
• Degree in engineering or computer science preferred.
• Registered Patent attorney; in-house patent experience highly preferred.
• Open source licensing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead AI/ML legal issues cross-functionally within Cohesity.
• Influence product development plans for AI/ML from a legal/compliance view.
• Collaborate with patent team to protect AI/ML innovations.
