Job summary

Lockheed Martin’s Chief Digital and AI Office seeks a leader for the Applied AI Mission Integration team, overseeing STAR.Data. The STAR.Data team works across LM areas to deploy data distribution solutions for contested environments and enable cross-domain data sharing.

The role drives product leadership, development of STAR.Data lines, and coordination with LM Business Areas and customers to deploy trusted AI and accelerate technology transition.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline.
• Experience building and deploying software for defense mission systems; experience with database solutions.
• Demonstrated functional and technical leadership in directing high-performing projects.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience with one of the following: C++, Java, GO, Rust and other compiled languages.
• Experience with DevOps tools: Docker, Git (GitLab, GitHub), CI, CD.
• Master’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline (desired).
• Experience with software orchestration (Kubernetes, Helm, Istio/Linkerd) and modern GitOps workflows.

Responsibilities

• Leadership of the STAR.Data product and team.
• Development and Maturation of STAR.Data product lines for deployment into mission applications.
• Close coordination with LM Business Areas and external customers to integrate trusted AI solutions.
• Cultivating a talent pipeline to accelerate technology transition.
