Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Senior AI/ML Engineer to design, develop, and deploy scalable AI-powered solutions for enterprise needs. You will leverage ML, NLP, Generative AI, and multi-agent systems to deliver production-grade applications with governance and security in mind.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into reliable AI platforms, ensuring observability, compliance, and responsible AI practices across cloud environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/DS/engineering/math or related field.
• 8+ years in ML/AI and data science.
• Experience deploying enterprise AI/ML in production.
• Generative AI experience including RAG and agent-based systems.
• Proficiency with Python and ML libraries: PyTorch, TensorFlow, Scikit-Learn, Hugging Face.
• Experience with LangGraph and LangChain.
• Strong NLP: classification, embeddings, semantic search, topic modeling.
• Data pipelines with SQL and PySpark.
• Cloud deployment on AWS/Azure/GCP.
• Docker/Kubernetes experience; MLOps: CI/CD, monitoring, observability.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy production-grade AI/ML solutions.
• Build Generative AI and Agentic AI apps with multi-agent orchestration.
• Develop RAG and Text-to-SQL applications.
• Create LLM evaluation, monitoring, and governance frameworks.
• Design scalable NLP solutions (text classification, semantic search, embeddings).
• Develop ML models using statistical and deep learning methods.
• Build data pipelines with Python, PySpark, SQL, and cloud-native tech.
• Implement MLOps: CI/CD, validation, monitoring, drift detection.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver scalable AI solutions.
• Ensure governance, security, compliance, and responsible AI standards.
• Contribute to AI platform architecture and modernization efforts.
