Job summary

Harnham is seeking a senior AI/ML focused software engineer to own the intelligence layer of a next-gen data platform. You will architect multi-step AI agents, design RAG pipelines, and shape model selection and evaluation strategies—shipping directly to Fortune 500 customers.

The role requires 4-6+ years in software engineering with deep AI/ML experience, strong Python skills, and hands-on production deployments using AWS, Kubernetes, and vector databases.

Qualifications

• 4-6+ years of software engineering experience with meaningful AI/ML depth.
• Proven experience building and shipping AI agents or coding agents in production.
• Strong Python skills with hands-on experience across RAG, vector databases, and knowledge graphs.
• Experience with LLM APIs, prompt engineering, fine-tuning, and structured outputs in production.
• Familiarity with AWS and Kubernetes for production AI deployment.
• Experience with data platforms such as Databricks, Snowflake, BigQuery, or Spark is a strong bonus.
• Scale or Go experience is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Architect multi-step AI agents end-to-end for enterprise data platforms.
• Own RAG pipelines and vector/graph-based retrieval systems.
• Build the AI layer for code generation capabilities, including prompt design and fine-tuning.
• Ensure production AI systems balance latency, throughput, and observability.
• Plan for failure modes and evaluation strategies, driving the improvement loop.
