Job summary

U.S. Bank is seeking an experienced AI/ML Engineer to design, develop, and deploy ML models and Generative AI solutions. You will build RAG architectures, agentic AI systems, and data pipelines, while ensuring security, governance, and regulatory compliance in a highly regulated financial environment.

The role emphasizes collaboration across product, engineering, data science, and governance teams, with a focus on scalable, production-ready AI services and platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• Five to six years of relevant experience.
• Strong Python/Java software engineering experience.
• Experience with Generative AI, LLMs, and production AI apps.
• Cloud-native, containerized apps with Docker/Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of responsible AI, data privacy and governance.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, train, fine-tune, deploy, and maintain ML models and LLMs.
• Build and optimize RAG architectures using vector databases and semantic search.
• Develop Agentic AI systems with workflow orchestration and tool invocation.
• Establish AI model lifecycle management including training, evaluation, monitoring.
• Design cloud-native AI platforms using Python, Java, Docker, Kubernetes.
• Create AI-powered APIs, microservices, and data pipelines.
• Ensure compliance with Responsible AI and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, data science and governance teams.
