Job summary

Pratt & Whitney is seeking a Principal Machine Learning Engineer to join the Engineering AI Team within RTX’s Digital Engineering Organization. The role focuses on accelerating end-to-end AI/ML solutions across our value stream—from engine design and development to sustainment—while enabling AI platforms and advancing the Digital Discipline.

You will work in a hybrid environment and contribute to the global AI ecosystem.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and 8 years of relevant digital/engineering experience; or Advanced Degree with 5 years of experience.
• 3 years of experience with Data and AI or Digital-driven Engineering apps (AI/ML modeling, pipelines, system integration, monitoring).
• Development and deployment of software systems that integrate AI components.
• Hands on experience using LLM-based chat systems (ChatGPT, Gemini, Copilot).

Responsibilities

• Develop and integrate AI/ML solutions into domain systems (e.g., physics-informed regressions, machine vision, NLP/LLM).
• Build, test, deploy, and monitor AI systems across use cases (design optimization, product inspection, etc.).
• Develop and maintain AI/ML models through their lifecycle (data gathering, feature engineering, training, deployment, monitoring).
• Develop and maintain full-stack software systems that integrate AI models.
