Citi in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a Senior AI/ML & Agentic AI Engineer to lead design, development, and integration of advanced AI solutions across engineering teams. The role emphasizes autonomy, scalability, and secure production deployments using Python, Java, and modern cloud platforms.

The ideal candidate has 6+ years in software engineering with Generative/Agentic AI focus, plus hands-on experience with CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, and data storage using SQL/NoSQL.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in software engineering and AI/ML development, incl. Generative AI/Agentic AI.
• Portfolio of integrated Python/Java AI projects in enterprise environments.
• Experience with distributed systems, high availability, and performance.

Responsibilities

• Lead design/development of AI/ML, Generative AI, and Agentic AI solutions for enterprise use.
• Architect end-to-end AI systems using Python and Java with scalable backend services.
• Develop intelligent agentic systems with autonomous decision making and automation.
• Tune and deploy LLMs with production-ready Python/Java components.
• Experiment with prompt engineering and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG).
• Own CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker) and Kubernetes on cloud platforms.
• Apply SQL/NoSQL database design for AI data storage and retrieval.
• Contribute to engineering best practices, patterns, and tooling.
• Stay current on AI/ML, cloud, and DevOps trends; share knowledge.
• Ensure adherence to ethical AI, data privacy, and compliance standards.
• Mentor junior engineers in Python, Java, and cloud/CI/CD practices.
