Southwest Research Institute’s Strategic Aerospace Department seeks a senior AI/ML research lead to advance aerospace mission systems, embedded avionics, and real-time edge computing across strategic platforms.

You will architect physics-informed and data-driven approaches, perform system identification, anomaly detection, and predictive analytics, and transition models to deployable hardware using C/C++, Python.

Formación

• Requires a Bachelor's or Master's in EE or related field.
• 12+ years in advanced AI/ML, data science, or autonomy with leadership.
• Experience deploying ML to embedded hardware and real-time platforms.

Responsabilidades

• Design, develop, and validate AI/ML algorithms for embedded avionics.
• Prototype software in Python and C/C++, targeting real-time hardware.
• Lead cross-disciplinary reviews, experiments, and demonstrations.
• Mentor engineers and promote reusable AI architectures.
