Job summary

Core Specialty Insurance Holdings, Inc. is seeking a Lead AI Engineer to drive AI/ML enablement across the organization.

You will start hands-on building data pipelines and platforms while progressively taking a leadership role in shaping governance, frameworks, and deployment patterns. You will partner with Data Governance, Data Engineering, and Product teams to implement scalable MLOps, address security and compliance, and deliver tangible AI capabilities.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in data engineering on large-scale platforms.
• 3+ years developing ML/AI deliverables with production deployment.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Working knowledge of Agentic Workflows for engineering and architecture.
• Demonstrated experience taking autonomous ownership of complex projects from design through delivery, with minimal oversight.
• Experience enabling AI/ML frameworks, evaluating MLOps tooling, or building infrastructure for model training and deployment.
• Experience partnering with Data Governance, Data Science, or Compliance teams to align technical practices with governance and regulatory requirements.
• Experience with Data Vault 2.0 or Ensemble data modeling techniques preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and optimize data pipelines and platform components for analytics and AI/ML use cases.
• Take autonomous ownership of engineering initiatives end-to-end.
• Identify and resolve performance, scalability, and reliability issues across the data platform.
• Define AI/ML frameworks and evaluate tools, platforms, and standards.
• Develop prototypes delivering immediate value to engineering teams.
• Shape and implement the MLOps strategy including deployment and monitoring.
• Collaborate with Data Governance to align AI/ML with governance and compliance.
• Document AI/ML standards to support organization-wide adoption.
