Job summary

Core Specialty Insurance Holdings, Inc. seeks an Enterprise Data Architect to define and govern the target-state data architecture across operational, analytical, AI/ML, and reporting platforms.

You will partner with business, engineering, security, and governance to establish scalable data patterns, trusted data products, and AI-ready foundations that support underwriting, claims, finance, risk, and regulatory analytics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• 15+ years of progressive experience in enterprise data architecture or related leadership roles.
• 5+ years designing or governing cloud-based data platforms and analytics solutions.
• Hands-on with SQL, Python or PySpark, data modeling, and data pipelines.
• Experience with BI/semantic modeling, data cataloging, and lineage.
• Experience partnering with security, compliance, and privacy stakeholders in regulated environments; insurance/financial services preferred.

Responsibilities

• Define enterprise data architecture strategy, reference patterns, roadmaps, and standards.
• Establish target architectures for data platforms (Lakehouse, warehouse, data mesh).
• Translate business needs into governed data capabilities and reusable patterns.
• Design AI-ready data foundations including feature stores and LLM/RAG patterns.
• Lead architecture reviews ensuring security, privacy, and compliance alignment.
• Define DataOps/MLOps requirements for CI/CD, testing, and data quality gates.
• Create architecture blueprints, data contracts, and reusable playbooks.
• Modernize legacy data assets toward Azure-first cloud platforms.
• Evaluate vendor/platform options; ensure alignment to enterprise guardrails.
• Collaborate with security teams to implement Zero Trust data access and secure sharing.
• Drive observability, cost management, SLAs, and incident response for data pipelines.
