Job summary

Kearney & Company seeks a Senior Application Developer to lead end-to-end application development for the Navy's War Data Platform. You will own complex solutions in Palantir Foundry, including ontology modeling, pipelines, transformations, and operational apps, working directly with Navy stakeholders and mission users.

This role requires autonomy, strong technical ownership, and the ability to deliver secure, scalable software in DoD environments.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related technical field.
6+ years of experience developing complex applications or data solutions on enterprise platforms.
Ability to operate independently and deliver end-to-end technical solutions with minimal oversight.
Proficiency with Python and Foundry development patterns (PySpark, data transformations, automation).
Strong understanding of lifecycle management, governance, access control, and integration patterns.
Familiarity with Agile, DevSecOps, and Git-based workflows.
Onsite work 2–3 days/week in the Washington DC / Alexandria, VA area; active Interim Secret Clearance or higher.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and deploy secure, scalable, mission-critical applications within Palantir Foundry.
Build complex data pipelines, transformations, and ontology structures for Navy analytics.
Lead integrations with Navy systems, cloud services, and external data sources.
Conduct hands-on testing, debugging, performance optimization, and sustainment in DoD environments.
Implement configuration management, access controls, and DevSecOps practices.
Provide technical mentorship and Foundry guidance to project teams and stakeholders.
