Job summary

Hewlett Packard Enterprise in Spring, TX (onsite) seeks a Principal AI & Machine Learning Engineer to lead design, development, and deployment of AI/ML applications, mentoring a team of engineers and aligning solutions with business goals.

You will work across Kubernetes, MLOps tools, cloud services, and secure AI practices, driving production-grade platforms from development to deployment while collaborating with analysts and architects.

Qualifications

12+ years hands-on software engineering with AI/ML focus.
Kubernetes expertise including orchestration, Helm, pod management, scaling, troubleshooting.
MLOps/AIOps tools such as MLflow, Kubeflow, Airflow, model registries, monitoring frameworks.
Experience with cloud AI services on Azure, AWS, or GCP.
Strong Python with FastAPI/Flask or similar frameworks.
CI/CD pipelines and tooling (GitOps, Docker, Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
Lead and mentor AI/ML teams; drive delivery and priorities.
Experience with GenAI frameworks and vector databases.
Observability/monitoring for AI workloads (Prometheus/Grafana/OpenTelemetry).
Knowledge of AI security, governance, and responsible AI principles.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and deploy AI applications, microservices, and APIs on Kubernetes-based infra.
Build end-to-end AI pipelines with deployment, monitoring, versioning, and MI/ML ops.
Lead and mentor AI/ML engineers; conduct code reviews and set best practices.
Evaluate and adopt new AI tools, frameworks, and open-source solutions.
Collaborate with analysts and architects to align AI efforts with business goals.
Create and maintain deployment runbooks and SOPs.
