Qualifications

• 5+ years in media relations, press strategy or journalism.
• Established relationships with reporters covering AI and AI policy.
• Ability to place stories in top-tier outlets without burning key relationships.

Responsibilities

• Own FAR.AI's earned media strategy and forward view of research releases.
• Decide which findings are news and which outlets to approach.
• Build and maintain relationships with reporters across national and international outlets.
• Manage publishing decisions for safety-related research and incidents.
• Lead media training for researchers and leadership, including mock interviews.
• Write and place op-eds and pitches with our technical writer.
• Set goals for each release and ensure accountability.
