Job summary

Palo Alto Networks, Inc. is seeking a hands-on Forward Deployed Engineer for AI Gateway to embed with customer teams, write production code, and design low-latency topologies that ship secure enterprise AI workloads.

You will bridge customer environments with core engineering and contribute code back to the AI Gateway engine. Responsibilities include building middleware, deploying with Terraform/Kubernetes, and leading architecture reviews with CISOs for zero-trust deployments.

Qualifications

• 7+ years writing production code in Python, Go, TypeScript or C++.
• Hands-on with LLM orchestration, prompt security, token optimization, model routing, and vector databases/RAG.
• Proficiency with Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, cloud providers, OIDC/OAuth2 and zero-trust networking.

Responsibilities

• Write production-grade code to integrate AI Gateway with microservices and multi-cloud architectures.
• Develop custom middleware for identity-aware policies, prompt security, and telemetry pipelines.
• Create automated deployment modules using Terraform, Helm and Kubernetes.
• Optimize high-throughput, low-latency traffic paths and scale architectures.
• Lead ADRs with customer engineers and CISOs for zero-trust deployments.
