Job summary

Palo Alto Networks is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer for AI Gateway in Plano, TX. You will embed with customer teams, write production code, and design low-latency topologies to ship secure enterprise AI workloads to production.

You will bridge customer environments with core engineering, extending the platform edge while contributing code back to the AI Gateway engine. Strong Kubernetes/Docker and cloud skills are required.

Qualifications

• Seven or more years writing production code in Python/Go/TS/C++ with API experience.
• Hands-on with LLM orchestration, prompt security and model routing.
• Proficient in Kubernetes, Docker and cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure).

Responsibilities

• Write production-grade code to integrate AI Gateway with microservices and multi-cloud architectures.
• Build middleware/plugins for identity-aware policies, prompt security, routing, and telemetry.
• Develop automated deployment modules (Terraform, Helm, Kubernetes) and SDK wrappers.
• Optimize high-throughput, low-latency traffic paths.
• Lead ADRs with customer engineers and CISOs for zero-trust deployments.
