EY seeks a senior Distinguished Engineer to lead AI-native system delivery across regulated industries, translating field realities into durable enterprise patterns. You will engage with Product Engineering, governance, and client teams while shaping architecture and platform investments.

The role combines deep technical judgment with client presence, overseeing complex designs, and ensuring safe-to-ship outcomes in a fast-moving, audit‑grade environment.

Qualifications

• 10+ years delivering complex AI enterprise systems, ideally in regulated industries.
• Deep experience with distributed systems, cloud platforms, and integration-heavy architectures.
• Hands-on experience with modern AI-enabled stacks (agentic systems, orchestration, LLM services).
• Proven ability to operate in forward-deployed or customer-facing roles with real-world constraints.
• Track record of reusable technical patterns or platforms that scale beyond a single engagement.
• Experience collaborating with architecture, product, and platform teams.
• Strong understanding of software delivery lifecycle and production readiness.

Responsibilities

• Serve as cross-engagement technical authority ensuring architecture and safety in regulated environments.
• Synthesize learnings into durable reference integrations and reusable patterns.
• Work with AI agents to support regulated safe-to-ship decisions with evidence inputs.
• Operate as player-coach contributing to complex system design while guiding delivery teams.
• Consolidate cross-cell signals into evidence-based recommendations and platform investments.
• Partner with Product Engineering/Architecture to package client patterns into business cases.
• Participate in architecture reviews and prioritization discussions to improve portability and outcomes.
