Job summary

EY seeks a senior, hands-on Distinguished Engineer to lead AI-native system delivery for regulated industries. You will bridge delivery, architecture, and governance, translating field realities into durable enterprise patterns.

As a cross-cell technical leader, you’ll work with product engineering and governance authorities to ensure safe, auditable implementations while guiding teams toward repeatable, scalable solutions.

Qualifications

• 10+ years delivering complex AI enterprise systems in regulated industries.
• Deep experience with distributed systems, cloud platforms, and integration-heavy architectures.
• Hands-on with AI-enabled stacks (agentic systems, orchestration, LLM-backed services).
• Forward deployed or customer-facing engineering experience delivering outcomes.
• Proven ability to create reusable technical patterns at scale.
• Experience partnering with architecture, product, and platform teams.

Responsibilities

• Serve as cross-engagement technical authority ensuring delivery aligns with architecture and safety in regulated environments.
• Synthesize learnings into durable reference integrations and reusable patterns.
• Work with AI agents to support safe-to-ship decisions with evidence and validation inputs.
• Act as player-coach, contributing to complex system design while guiding delivery teams.
• Prioritize cross-cell signals and translate observations into evidence-based recommendations.
• Partner with Product Engineering and Architecture to package patterns into business cases and backlog items.
• Shape sessions, architecture reviews and prioritization to improve portability and outcomes.
