Planet seeks a Senior Forward Deployment Engineer to craft high-impact software solutions for Global Defense and Security customers. You will own major portions of the development lifecycle, collaborating with key partners and delivering on critical commitments from design to delivery.

You will work with a mix of front-end, back-end, data integration, and cloud infrastructure, in a high-autonomy role that values rapid iteration and an AI-first mindset.

Formación

• 6+ years of software engineering or equivalent in relevant field.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Experience with geospatial development tools and concepts.
• Proficiency in Python and cloud platforms (AWS or GCP).
• Strong code review and testing discipline.
• Ability to communicate complex ideas to diverse stakeholders.

Responsabilidades

• Lead full development lifecycle for bespoke customer solutions.
• Develop robust full-stack software including frontend, backend, data integration, and cloud infra.
• Collaborate with customers to translate operational needs into technical requirements.
• Identify reusable patterns to inform platform development.
• Leverage AI tooling to accelerate value and adapt to requirements.
• Mentor teammates and perform code reviews to foster collaboration.
• Deliver commitments on time to support strategic customer relationships.
