Job summary

Ford Credit is seeking a Principal AI Architect to shape its enterprise AI strategy and deliver secure, cloud-native systems. This leadership-level role will manage AI, cloud, and security architects while directly owning high-impact architecture work.

The role defines target architectures, roadmaps, and governance for AI-enabled platforms on Google Cloud, implementing Zero‑Trust, observability, and secure software supply chains across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS, engineering, information systems, cybersecurity, or related field.
• At least 12 years of progressive technology experience, with 8+ in architecture.
• Experience architecting and operating enterprise AI/ML systems in production.
• Strong cloud architecture experience on Google Cloud and security architecture expertise.
• Fluency in communicating complex trade-offs to executives and engineers.

Responsibilities

• Define multi-year enterprise AI architecture strategy and roadmaps.
• Establish an AI-native software delivery lifecycle with specifications and evidence.
• Architect production agentic systems integrating models, tools, memory, and orchestration.
• Advise executives and align across engineering, product, cybersecurity, data, privacy, risk, procurement, and ops.
• Manage and develop an architects team with coaching and succession planning.
