Job summary

R1 RCM Inc. is seeking an Engineering Manager for its AI innovation lab, R37, to lead AI/ML and data engineers in building AI-native healthcare platforms. You will shape the product roadmap with product and AI leaders and deliver scalable solutions across Phare OS.

You will thrive in a fast-moving environment, mentor diverse teams, and drive agile DevOps practices while aiming for measurable business outcomes. The role is US-based with a hybrid work model centered around New York City.

Qualifications

• 3+ years leading, hiring and developing engineering teams as an Engineering Manager.
• Experience building and scaling AI-driven products (Search, Ranking, Generative AI) at scale.
• Proficiency in Python, Java, Go, Rust, TypeScript, Kotlin, or C#.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.

Responsibilities

• Lead AI/ML, data, and full-stack engineers to deliver AI-native products.
• Define organizational structure and recruit, mentor, retain top talent.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, AI research and data science to set goals and roadmaps.
• Drive agile methodologies and DevOps to ensure quality and fast delivery.
• Foster a diverse and inclusive culture and cross-team mentoring.
