R1 RCM Inc. is seeking a Product Engineer for its R37 AI lab. You will transform complex healthcare workflows into intuitive, AI-powered products, building full-stack applications with React, Node.js, and Python while collaborating with customers and cross-functional teams.

The role emphasizes end-to-end ownership, strong product instincts, and a passion for applying AI to real-world healthcare workflows, delivering meaningful user experiences at scale.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience, including at least 2 years of hands-on React development.
• Expert proficiency in React, TypeScript, Node.js, SQL, and Python.
• Experience building and operating production-grade full-stack applications.
• Proven ability to own projects from requirements gathering and design through deployment and optimization.
• Experience collaborating closely with product, design, and customer-facing teams to deliver high-impact solutions.
• Passion for AI-powered applications and an eagerness to incorporate AI into real-world workflows and business processes.

Responsibilities

• Build AI-powered products using React, Node.js, Python and modern full-stack development practices.
• Partner directly with customers, designers, and researchers to understand user needs and translate them into innovative product solutions.
• Design intuitive experiences that make sophisticated AI outputs and automations easy to understand and adopt.
• Own features end-to-end, from product ideation and technical design through deployment, iteration, and scaling.
• Help shape the future of AI-native healthcare products by combining strong engineering execution with a product-first mindset.
