Job summary

Tower Loan is seeking a Senior AI Engineer - Voice & Conversational AI to design, develop, and implement AI-powered voice solutions that enhance customer engagement and operational efficiency. You will build real-time voice apps, integrate with SIP/VoIP, and lead production delivery from concept through deployment.

The role requires strong software engineering, proficiency with AI/ML tools, and experience delivering production systems using modern stacks.

Qualifications

Production software development experience is required.
Strong knowledge of APIs, microservices, and real-time architectures.
Solid understanding of LLMs, generative AI, and prompt engineering.
Proficient troubleshooting, problem solving, and systems analysis.
Ability to design secure, scalable and reliable solutions.
Strong organizational and project management skills.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain real-time AI voice applications using LLMs and conversational AI.
Create automated conversational workflows for customer service and reminders.
Configure prompts, policies, security controls, escalation and tool-calling.
Implement conversation management with interruption handling and live transfers.
Develop apps using OpenAI Live/Realtime APIs and other AI tech.
Manage streaming audio, transcription, and system integrations for responsiveness.
Integrate AI voice apps with SIP/VoIP/PBX and enterprise infra.
Develop and maintain APIs and microservices using C#, .NET, Python, JS/TS.
Integrate AI apps with databases, payment platforms, messaging systems, and others.
Ensure AI safety, compliance with policies and regulatory standards.
Keep auditable records of conversations and automated actions.
Perform automated testing, evaluations, and QA to improve accuracy and reliability.
Monitor performance: call outcomes, latency, errors, escalations.
Design scalable, high-availability systems with proper controls.
Lead technical development from concept to production and mentor engineers.
