Blue Origin seeks a Principal AI Engineer to lead AI/ML capabilities in Blue Ring ground systems for satellite operations. You will build multi-agent telemetry analysis, RAG knowledge pipelines, and ML-driven anomaly detection, delivering scalable intelligence for fleet operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years of professional software development with exposure to AI/ML.
• Proficiency in Python and familiarity with PyTorch or TensorFlow.
• Experience with LLM-based apps, RAG pipelines, or agent systems.
• Exposure to time-series data processing, anomaly detection, or telemetry ML.
• Cloud platforms (AWS preferred), Docker, and CI/CD practices.
• Strong CS fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, OOP, version control.
• Analytical, detail-oriented, and good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop multi-agent systems for telemetry analysis, anomaly detection, and reporting.
• Build agent tooling, prompt templates, and orchestration for LLM services.
• Maintain RAG pipelines: ingestion, embeddings, and vector indexing.
• Implement human-in-the-loop workflows and incident response tooling.
• Deploy containerized AI services using Docker and AWS.
• Contribute to audit trails and production observability.
