Blue Origin is seeking a Principal AI Engineer for the Blue Ring software team in the Seattle area. You will lead AI/ML capabilities embedded in ground systems for satellite operations, building multi-agent components and RAG pipelines to support real-time telemetry analysis and anomaly detection.

Role requires extensive Python experience, LLM-based apps, cloud and containerization, and collaboration across teams to deliver robust production services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of professional software development experience with exposure to AI/ML applications.
• Experience building or contributing to LLM-based applications, RAG pipelines, or agent-based systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead AI/ML engineering for Blue Ring ground systems, including multi-agent telemetry analysis and anomaly detection.
• Develop and maintain RAG pipelines, document ingestion, embeddings, and vector indexing.
• Build agent tooling, prompts, orchestration logic, and human-in-the-loop workflows.
• Deploy containerized AI services using Docker and AWS, with observability and incident response.
