Job summary

Synechron is seeking a Senior AI Engineer to design, build, and deploy production-grade AI solutions using Java and Python on Google Cloud Platform. You’ll work with product managers, data scientists, and software engineers to deliver reliable, scalable AI applications at scale.

The role requires 7–10 years of experience, RESTful APIs, microservices, and deep expertise in cloud, security, CI/CD, Docker, and Kubernetes. Vertex AI, ML libraries, and big data tools are highly valued.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong hands-on programming with Java and Python.
• Proven production AI/ML systems experience.
• Extensive Google Cloud Platform experience including deployment and security.
• Experience designing RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with Vertex AI, ML tooling, and large models.
• Knowledge of data processing with BigQuery/Beam/Dataflow.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain production-grade AI and ML apps.
• Build scalable backend services, APIs, data pipelines, and AI platforms with Java and Python.
• Deploy, monitor, and optimize AI workloads on GCP.
• Collaborate with data scientists and engineers to productionize models.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to best practices in AI engineering.
• Participate in architecture reviews and code reviews.
• Investigate emerging AI technologies and assess business relevance.
• Ensure secure, maintainable, well-tested software with modern practices.
