Job summary

Equiliem is seeking a Senior AI Engineer to design, test, and support AI-powered agent experiences across customer-facing and internal workflows. You will collaborate with product managers, developers, and business stakeholders while delivering robust, well-tested AI solutions.

The role emphasizes prompt engineering, agent orchestration, AI quality assurance, and observability, requiring 7+ years of experience and hands-on work with Generative AI and LLMs. Remote work is supported nationwide.

Qualifications

• Seven plus years of relevant experience in application development or software engineering.
• At least 1 year hands-on experience with Generative AI, LLMs, or AI-powered agent solutions.
• Strong background in building enterprise applications and solving complex technical challenges.
• Experience designing, developing, testing, and supporting enterprise applications.
• Experience with APIs and JSON data structures.
• Proficiency with Azure DevOps or similar Agile delivery platforms.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and iterate on AI agent logic and workflows for complex business use cases.
• Create, test, and optimize prompts, system instructions, tools, and workflows to improve agent performance.
• Conduct prompt experiments and A/B testing to measure effectiveness and identify improvements.
• Document prompt patterns, reasoning frameworks, and agent design decisions.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to deploy updates through SDLC processes.
• Design and execute comprehensive test plans for AI agents, web apps, APIs, and backend services.
• Develop evaluation frameworks and scoring methodologies for AI output quality.
• Track, prioritize, validate, and retest defects using Azure DevOps or similar platforms.
