Job summary

Horizontal Talent is seeking an AI Engineer for its AI Center of Excellence. This remote role focuses on building practical AI and ML solutions that improve user experiences and automate workflows.

You will collaborate with data scientists, product managers, and engineers to deploy end‑to‑end ML pipelines in cloud environments, while applying responsible AI practices and guiding teams across the enterprise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in CS, engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years designing and deploying real-world AI/ML solutions.
• Experience with Python and REST API development.
• Hands-on experience with LLM APIs (OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, Gemini, Anthropic).
• Familiarity with unstructured data (email, PDFs, webpages) and RAG patterns.
• Knowledge of ML algorithms, cloud AI tech, and model monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy AI/ML solutions across domains.
• Build workflows to extract structured data from unstructured content using cloud tools.
• Create interoperable AI agents using MCP and related frameworks.
• Develop automated testing for LLM solutions and model drift detection.
• Integrate AI apps with internal/external services with secure auth.
• Apply responsible AI practices to mitigate prompt injection and risks.
• Build end-to-end ML pipelines in cloud environments (data ingestion to deployment).
• Collaborate with data scientists, architects, PMs, and stakeholders.
• Provide mentorship and technical guidance across teams.
• Create reusable tools and best practices to accelerate AI development.
