Job summary

AMC Health is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for Applied AI to build and operate real-time voice AI systems and ML pipelines in production. You will work across voice, LLM engineering, and traditional ML, shaping scalable cloud infrastructure in a regulated healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• 7+ years building and operating production backend systems; Python proficiency.
• Experience running distributed cloud systems with telemetry to root cause.
• Hands-on production experience with LLMs or generative AI and judgment on when not to use a model.
• Disciplined in a regulated environment: careful handling of sensitive data.

Responsibilities

• Ship and debug code on a live, real-time voice pipeline where latency and correctness matter.
• Design control systems around LLMs: guardrails, budgets, watchdogs.
• Build and operate LLM evaluation and batch-analysis pipelines.
• Own traditional ML workflows from data to scheduled production inference.
• Trace production issues from a metric anomaly to root cause.
