Job summary

Maximus is seeking a Lead AI Engineer - Data Science and Algorithms to join the AI Transformation and Experience team, building and refining AI capabilities used across the enterprise and government programs we support. This is a remote position.

This hands-on role focuses on designing, building, testing, deploying, and improving production algorithms while collaborating with engineers and technical specialists to deliver measurable impact for employees and citizens who rely on our services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 10+ years of relevant experience.
• 7+ years building and supporting production algorithms on real data.
• 7+ years data science or advanced algorithm experience.
• 5+ years cloud environment design/build experience.
• 3+ years AI/ML experience and production deployment.
• US Citizenship and ability to obtain Public Trust.

Responsibilities

• Lead the applied use of AI/ML and data science across the enterprise.
• Design, build, and improve production AI solutions.
• Own complex technical problems from exploration to deployment.
• Write high-quality software and integrate AI into enterprise systems.
• Mentor staff and promote best practices.
