Job summary

ACQ Vantage seeks a Senior AI Engineer to build and deploy production-grade AI agents powering real business outcomes. You will design end-to-end agentic workflows, integrate LLMs with internal systems, and ship reliable AI features.

This hands-on role requires 7+ years shipping distributed systems, experience with RAG tooling (Pinecone, Qdrant, FAISS, Weaviate), and proficiency in TypeScript and Python. Hybrid US-based with quarterly Las Vegas on-sites.

Qualifications

• 7+ years shipping production software systems (distributed backends, APIs, deployment pipelines, monitoring).
• 2+ years building production RAG systems using vector databases with embedding strategies and retrieval tuning.
• Built and deployed AI agents or multi-step LLM workflows in production with tool use and orchestration.
• Built or contributed to an evaluation framework for an LLM-based product (retrieval quality, regression detection, model switching).
• Reduced LLM API costs in production via routing, caching, or architecture improvements.
• Experience with multiple LLM providers and understanding tradeoffs in prompts and token economics.
• Proficiency in TypeScript and Python (our stack uses both).

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deploy production-grade AI agents and end-to-end agentic workflows that solve real business problems across ACQ Vantage.
• Integrate LLMs with internal systems, APIs, and data sources for reliability and performance.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to ship AI features quickly.
• Own and improve RAG pipelines across multiple namespaces, including chunking, embedding model selection, and retriever tuning.
• Build and maintain an evaluation framework with golden datasets, quality scoring, and regression detection.
• Optimize model routing and tiering to improve unit economics while preserving output quality.
• Instrument the AI layer for observability—cost-per-request, token usage, and anomaly detection.
