Job summary

Workday is seeking a Senior AI Engineer for the Agent Factory to lead end-to-end design, implementation, and product integration of next-gen intelligent agents. You’ll connect AI capabilities with enterprise HR and finance data, ensuring scalable, production-grade delivery and governance.

You’ll work at the intersection of AI, platform architecture, and human workflows, building robust agent orchestration, latency-aware systems, and cost-conscious design with strong emphasis on Responsible AI.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering with backend, distributed systems, API design; 1+ year building production-grade LLM/agentic systems or 5+ years ML/AI with 2+ years shipping LLM-backed products.
• 2+ years integrating large models and modern AI APIs into enterprise products.
• 1+ years designing and scaling AI orchestration architectures (multi-agent frameworks, routing, or advanced RAG).
• 4+ years optimizing app performance, including token management and context-window efficiency for LLMs.
• 4+ years leveraging AWS or GCP to deploy scalable, responsive systems.
