Job summary

Guidehouse is seeking an experienced AI Engineer to lead the implementation of AI strategies across client organizations from Huntsville, AL. You will coordinate on-prem AI server setup and integrate AI capabilities into applications, working closely with data scientists, platform engineers and product teams to scale promising use cases into production.

The role emphasizes responsible AI practices, security/compliance, and driving digital transformation initiatives to improve mission outcomes

Qualifications

• ACTIVE and MAINTAINED SECRET clearance required.
• 8+ years of professional experience in software, data, ML engineering or related fields.
• 3+ years in software, data, RAG architecture or ML engineering, building cloud-native AI services.
• 2+ years focused on Generative AI/LLM technologies.
• 1+ year optimizing token efficiency and cost in production LLM apps.

Responsibilities

• Implement AI strategy to increase AI adoption across client organizations.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to establish on-prem AI servers.
• Integrate AI capabilities into applications and services (prompt orchestration, tool calling, embeddings, fine-tuning).
• Collaborate with data scientists and product teams to iterate use cases and deliver POCs/MVPs.
• Follow responsible AI practices and security/compliance requirements across environments.
• Lead digital transformation initiatives leveraging AI to improve mission and efficiency.
