EPAM Systems is seeking a Lead Software Engineer with 7+ years of experience to join a high-caliber product team building an AI-powered financial assistant platform. You will work closely with global institutional clients to test, refine, and deploy chat interfaces and bespoke tools in core investment workflows.

You will join a small, autonomous engineering team in a startup-ready environment, with zero legacy code and opportunities to shape a cutting-edge product.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software engineering with senior/lead autonomy.
• Strong proficiency in Python and/or React (TypeScript).
• Experience with FastAPI, AWS, Kubernetes and Terraform.

Responsibilities

• Architect and build next-generation AI-powered financial assistance workflows and interfaces.
• Gather requirements, design systems, and deliver production implementations independently.
• Integrate and optimize AI applications for quality, latency, reliability, and cost.
• Maintain high standards for security, data privacy, and maintainability.
• Leverage AI-assisted programming tools and review AI-generated code.
