Capital One is seeking an AI Engineer 4 to advance Foundation Model services and scalable AI infrastructure within the IFX team. You will design, build, test, and deploy AI software across MLOps pipelines, focusing on performance, governance, and observability.

You will work with Open Source and SaaS tools, optimize training and inference, and guide security and data governance as part of a production-ready AI platform. This role offers competitive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree + 4+ years in AI/ML or
• Master's degree + 2+ years in AI/ML
• 4+ years programming with Python/Go/Scala/CUDA/Java

Responsabilités

• Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver AI-powered products.
• Design, develop, test, deploy, and support AI software components.
• Leverage Open Source and SaaS AI technologies (AWS Ultraclusters, Huggingface, VectorDBs, PyTorch).
• Invent and optimize foundation model performance (latency, cost, throughput).
• Contribute to long-term AI system roadmaps and governance.
• Own end-to-end architecture for complex AI systems with observability and ethics.
• Define and maintain SLOs for AI reliability.
• Collaborate with infrastructure to optimize GPU/TPU usage.
• Lead technical reviews for new deployments (security, data governance).
• Mentor engineers on scalable design and production translation.
