Job summary

CCC Intelligent Solutions is seeking an experienced software engineer to own the delivery of LLM-powered systems from problem framing with product managers to production operations. You will design NLP pipelines, set guardrails, and ensure privacy and security baselines across multi-tenant architectures.

You will work with Python and TypeScript, shaping evals, permissions, and tool integrations while mentoring teammates and contributing to on-call readiness.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience with an LLM-powered system shipped to external customers
• Python and TypeScript at team conventions level, including asynchronous patterns and typing
• An evals and guardrails strategy for a product area with production implications
• A plan to constrain an agentic coding tool's context and verify its output
• Pipelines blending LLMs, semantic search, and classical NLP with cost/latency considerations

Responsibilities

• Own the delivery of LLM-powered systems in Python and TypeScript from problem to production
• Set the evals and guardrails strategy for your area: gates, signals, and simulation against history
• Raise the bar for agentic coding tools: refine specs, hooks, and permission policies and enforce review standards
• Design NLP pipelines that decide when semantic search, classical NLP, or an LLM is appropriate
• Build and operate durable, multi-tenant, event-driven systems with deterministic workflows
• Own tracing and audit: model calls and steps are recorded and auditable
• Set privacy and security baselines: isolation, least-privilege access, redaction, retention
• Author design docs, review others' designs, and mentor engineers
• Take part in shared on-call rotation
