Job summary

CHAMP, based in Cleveland, is seeking a Senior AI Engineer to build the CADE product using cloud-native AI tools. You will collaborate with local and distributed teams to deliver scalable, secure solutions that meet high standards for performance and reliability.

Responsibilities include designing complex AI-driven workflows, mentoring engineers, and contributing to enterprise architectural decisions while maintaining strong coding standards and documentation.

Qualifications

• 5+ years designing, testing, and implementing complex technical solutions.
• Hands-on experience with AI tools and technologies.
• Experience mentoring/coaching other software engineers.
• Excellent communication and collaboration across cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Design complex AI-driven workflows and functions
• Translate use cases, user stories, and requirements into technical designs
• Design, implement, and deliver high-quality technical solutions that are scalable, observable, extensible, and maintainable
• Design and implement effective error handling mechanisms
• Implement new features while continuously improving code quality
• Integrate and consume internal and external services via MCP, REST, and SOAP
• Create and maintain system documentation
• Contribute to code reviews
• Coach developers on best practices
• Maintain code standards/style
• Lead a team of engineers on feature projects
