Job summary

Chainguard is seeking a Senior Software Engineer, AI CICD to join a small, fast-moving team building secure, production-ready AI tooling and Chainguard's agentic AI foundation. You will work on new products and collaborate closely with Product and Experience teams to guide technical decisions.

The successful candidate will own features end-to-end, navigate ambiguous problems, and contribute to a product-driven roadmap with real deadlines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of software development experience.
• Experience with containers, Docker, Kubernetes.
• Experience building and securing CI/CD systems.
• Proficiency in Go (Golang) or strong readiness to ramp up.
• Experience with AI tooling and a passion for applying it to complex problems.
• Strong communication skills in English and ability to work autonomously.

Responsibilities

• Own features end-to-end—from design through implementation, rollout and iteration with Product and Experience teams.
• Navigate ambiguous problems and take initiative rather than waiting for complete specs.
• Contribute to a product-driven roadmap with real deadlines and iterative shipping.
• Extend Chainguard's AI foundation into customer-facing product experiences across the product suite.
• Bring a strong technical point of view to architectural decisions and collaborate with the team.
