Job summary

RealPage is seeking an AI Developer IV in Richardson, TX to design, build, and scale internal AI solutions that improve engineering productivity and accelerate delivery. This role focuses on reusable AI patterns, agentic workflows, internal tools, reference implementations, and enablement assets to move teams from experimentation to production.

Qualifications

• Typically 6+ years of software engineering experience.
• 2+ years of applied AI, LLM, Generative AI, or agentic workflow experience.
• Strong programming experience in Python, TypeScript/JavaScript, or similar production languages.
• Experience designing and building cloud-native applications or services in Azure, GCP, or AWS.
• Practical experience with LLM-based application development, prompt engineering and versioning, tool calling, and RAG architectures.
• Familiarity with CI/CD, Git-based development, automated testing, API design, and observability.
• Experience using or enabling AI coding tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Windsurf, Codex, or similar tools.
• Ability to work directly with engineering teams to understand needs, prototype solutions, and drive adoption.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain AI concepts clearly.

Responsibilities

• Design and build internal AI solutions that support engineering productivity and software delivery, including AI-powered developer workflows, agentic SDLC patterns, and reusable tooling.
• Develop scalable, maintainable AI capabilities and reference implementations for engineering adoption.
• Build reusable capabilities for cross-team adoption, including multi-step agentic workflows, tool-calling patterns, and RAG-based knowledge solutions.
• Partner with senior architects and engineering leaders to establish scalable AI patterns beyond a single team.
• Work directly with engineering teams to identify use cases, provide guidance on LLM/RAG/agentic design, and mature POCs into repeatable practices.
• Create playbooks, templates, and documentation for internal engineering enablement and participate in office hours and workshops.
• Define practical evaluation, governance, safety, and privacy practices for internal AI solutions.
