Job summary
Ameriprise Financial Services, LLC seeks an experienced VP-Forward Deployed Engineer to design and deploy AI-enabled tools that enhance investment decision-making. You will collaborate across Investments, Technology, Data, Risk, and Compliance to deliver secure, scalable solutions, transitioning prototypes into enterprise capabilities.
Lead initiatives with portfolio managers and researchers, delivering production-grade AI capabilities while aligning with regulatory requirements and risk
Qualifications
- 10+ years in investment management, quantitative research/strategy, and software or AI engineering.
- Experience with trading desks or portfolio teams preferred.
- Hands-on experience building and shipping LLM-enabled applications (RAG/embeddings, agentic workflows).
- Strong Python development delivering production-quality code.
- Cloud infrastructure and modern software practices (CI/CD, API design).
- Fluency in at least one asset class (equities, fixed income, multi-asset, macro).
- Track record of secure, auditable AI solutions in regulated environments.
Responsibilities
- Translate investment strategies and research priorities into AI-enabled solutions.
- Design and deliver proof-of-concept and production AI capabilities.
- Collaborate with Investments, Technology, Data, Risk, and Compliance to meet standards.
- Influence AI and investment technology roadmap and promote adoption.
- Scale prototypes into sustainable enterprise capabilities with engineering teams.
