Capital One in San Francisco is hiring for an AI Engineer 4 to join the Intelligent Foundations and Experiences team. You will partner with engineers, researchers, PMs and product managers to deliver AI-powered products that transform how associates work and how customers interact with Capital One.

You'll design, develop, test, deploy, and support AI software components, optimize performance and cost, and contribute to the long-term roadmap while ensuring security, governance and reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in CS/AI/EE/CE with required AI/ML experience.
• 4+ years programming in Python, Go, Scala, CUDA or Java.
• 6+ years deploying scalable AI on cloud platforms.

Responsabilités

• Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver AI-powered products.
• Design, develop, test, deploy, and support AI software components.
• Leverage Open Source and SaaS AI technologies (AWS Ultraclusters, HuggingFace, VectorDBs, PyTorch).
• Invent and optimize foundation model performance for scale, latency and cost.
• Contribute to the technical vision and long-term roadmap of foundational AI systems.
