Job summary

Redica Systems seeks an experienced Senior AI Engineer to build and scale its QRI platform for life sciences in Pleasanton, CA. The role is hands-on with architecture, ML systems, and production deployments, operating in an Agile Scrum setting.

You will lead design decisions for ML components, integrate multiple subsystems, and advance LLM-driven conversational capabilities that power enterprise intelligence and regulatory insights.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical field.
• 5+ years as a senior or lead developer in cloud-based code and system architecture.
• Deep, hands-on experience in Python.
• Strong experience building and deploying LLM and Generative AI applications at scale.
• Extensive hands-on experience with third-party LLM provider APIs (OpenAI, Google, Anthropic, Amazon Bedrock) and open-source LLMs (Llama, Mistral).
• Experience in building conversational systems using LLMs and agentic frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with microservices architecture, orchestration, and backend APIs using FastAPI.
• Experience with vector databases, graph databases, and hybrid search.
• Hands-on experience with SQL and NoSQL databases/warehouses.

Responsibilities

• Fully understand technical architecture and various ML subsystems.
• Lead in an Agile Scrum environment focusing on scalable, maintainable enterprise solutions.
• Help prioritize technical issues with engineering managers.
• Proactively guide technical decisions on ML architecture.
• Ensure successful production delivery and assist operations in resolving production issues.
• Develop, test, and maintain architectures for data stores, databases, processing systems, and microservices.
• Integrate subsystems or components to deliver end-to-end solutions.
• Integrate ML services with multiple subsystems.
