Job summary

Ashurst Perkins Coie US LLP is seeking a hands-on Senior Software Engineer - AI to design, build, and support enterprise applications, APIs, and AI-powered solutions across the Microsoft Azure environment.

The role requires strong C#/.NET, Python, REST APIs, SQL, and experience building AI-enabled enterprise systems. You will work across backend, frontend, data, and AI technologies with a focus on secure, scalable software engineering practices.

Qualifications

• Strong professional experience in software development with proficiency in C#, .NET, Python, REST APIs, SQL, and modern software engineering practices.
• Hands-on experience building and deploying applications in Microsoft Azure, with understanding of cloud-based architecture.
• Experience with ASP.NET Core, Entity Framework, FastAPI, Git, CI/CD, Docker, and relational databases.
• Practical experience developing AI-powered applications including generative AI, RetrievalAugmented Generation (RAG), AI agents, or related technologies.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and support enterprise applications, APIs, integrations, and AI-powered solutions.
• Design and develop secure, scalable REST APIs and integrate enterprise systems.
• Build and integrate AI-powered applications using Azure AI, GenAI, RAG, vector search, and AI agents.
• Develop data and knowledge retrieval solutions using SQL, Databricks, data virtualization, and enterprise data platforms.
• Deploy, monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize applications in Microsoft Azure (App Service, Functions, Container Apps, Key Vault, Storage).
• Implement modern software engineering practices: Git-based development, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, Docker, monitoring, secure deployment.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, data teams, stakeholders to deliver scalable solutions.
• Create clear technical documentation and contribute to architecture, security, performance, code quality.
