Job summary

Hadrian is building advanced software systems to automate DFM analysis and accelerate precision manufacturing. Our platform analyzes design prints and CAD models to decide manufacturability for parts.

As a Senior Machine Learning Engineer, you will design, build, and scale vision and document-understanding systems end to end, collaborating with engineering teams and end users to deploy production ML workflows and grow Hadrian’s impact in aerospace and defense manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/EE or equivalent deep learning experience
• 5+ years of computer vision and/or machine learning with end-to-end ML lifecycle ownership
• Proficiency in Python, OpenCV, SQL, and one or more deep learning frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow)
• Master’s degree in CS with AI/ML focus is a plus
• Experience with detection/segmentation models and hyperparameter tuning
• Experience with aerospace, defense, or manufacturing; 3D/CAD/CAM data
• Strong software engineering skills; web development with JavaScript/TypeScript or Python; familiarity with FastAPI or Express
• Distributed training on cloud infrastructure
• Visual document understanding and layout analysis
• Published research or SOA results in ML
• Multi-modal deep learning experience
• Passion for manufacturing software
• Startup experience

Responsibilities

• Research, develop and deploy cutting-edge deep learning models, including OCR, vision-language, and detection models for document understanding and layout analysis
• Contribute to ongoing development and refinement of current models in collaboration with engineering team and end users
• Work in every facet of the ML lifecycle - production data pipelines, training, inference, labeling, and evaluation
• Judiciously combine open-source solutions and novel research to create world-class vision systems for manufacturing applications
