Job summary

Atria Health Institute is seeking a Senior AI Engineer to own the design, development, and production deployment of LLM-powered systems for clinicians and members. You will build agentic medical companions, clinical decision support, and document understanding pipelines with end-to-end ownership.

You will collaborate with data engineers, researchers, and clinicians, focusing on reliability, safety, observability, and patient impact in a regulated healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience building and operating production ML/LLM systems.
• Strong Python skills and production backend experience (FastAPI/Flask).
• Experience with LLM orchestration, function/tool calls, retrieval systems.

Responsibilities

• Architect and ship production AI systems end-to-end for clinical decision support and document understanding.
• Lead development of structured information extraction pipelines from clinical documents.
• Build robust evaluation infrastructure and cost-aware deployment practices.
• Mentor engineers and PMs in applied AI best practices.
• Collaborate with clinicians and data teams to translate requirements into scalable AI products.
