TRM Labs is seeking a hands-on software engineer within the Product organization to build agents and internal apps for product managers, marketers and designers. You will write production Python or TypeScript code and own features from concept to launch.
You will work daily with frontier models, retrieval, evals and observability to deliver tools that non-technical teammates actually use, with a bias for quality and ownership.
This is a hands-on engineering role inside the Product organization, building agents and internal apps for product managers, marketers and designers. A strong candidate writes real production code in Python or TypeScript, listens past what a teammate asks for to find the actual problem, and has shipped tools that non-technical people kept using. Comfort with loose requirements and owning work from start to finish matters as much as technical skill.
The job is itself about AI: agents, retrieval, evals and monitoring replace repetitive tasks so colleagues can focus on decisions and customer conversations. AI coding tools speed up the building, which makes fast prototypes and same-day fixes realistic. What stays human is deciding where automation is worth it, understanding what teammates really need, and taking responsibility for quality when others depend on the tool.
Someone in this role would work daily with current frontier models, MCP connections, retrieval, evals and observability, applied to a company that traces crypto-linked crime for investigators. Customer insight and product data would be the raw material, so the experience is in building agents that people rely on every week. To prepare, build and publish a small agent that solves a real workflow problem, and add basic evals and logging to it.
This is our own read, written from the employer's posting and the company's Spotlight. The employer's posting is the source of truth for the role.
An AI investigations platform that helps police, government agencies and financial institutions trace crypto-facilitated crime across the blockchain.
