Job summary

JFL Consulting is seeking a Senior AI Engineer to architect and maintain production API integrations and data pipelines for a government-focused enterprise AI platform. You will design robust contracts, ensure security, and deliver high-throughput workflows that support decision-grade capabilities.

The role requires 8+ years in backend/API work, a U.S. Secret clearance, and citizenship, with flexible remote/hybrid work in the DC-metro area.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related engineering field; or equivalent relevant experience.
• Citizenship: U.S. Citizenship required.
• Active Secret clearance.
• 8+ years of professional back-end or API integration engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• Architect, build, and maintain production API integrations ingesting data from multiple sources into the COP.
• Design, version, and enforce interface contracts (REST/GraphQL, OpenAPI).
• Build high-throughput, event-driven data-pipeline components (e.g., Kafka).
• Integrate data products, ontologies, and pipelines within Palantir Foundry and AWS GovCloud.
• Implement enterprise authentication and authorization (OAuth2/OpenID, SAML, PKI/CAC).
• Design and implement agentic AI workflows and orchestration layers.
• Write integration and contract tests; maintain CI/CD pipelines; document interfaces and runbooks.
• Ensure security and compliance per NIST SP 800-53 / 800-171 controls.
